Interior refit.

Right the interior! My camper didn't come with an interior, but I did manage to get some of an original interior of the chap I got the roof parts from.

The interior I don't think is the correct interior for a dormobile but I like it, so I don't see that it matters to much, after all I have hand made the other units so I have well and truly "personalized" my camper!

What you can see in this picture is the top unit, the bed unit on top of the engine bump, the main seat unit with storage space underneath and the side unit which has the washing up stuff inside.

This is the first unit i made, this is the cooker unit, and contains a bottom cupboard with a 12volt cool box and the gas bottle for the rings and grill, there is still room for other stuff to be stashed inside.

The draw has all the pots and pans in also the plates and cutlery.

The top opens up and folds down to use the cooker on top, i lined the lid and made stainless steel side protectors.

And here is the unit opened up the front of the top part rests on the draw which is pulled out just a bit.

The bottom unit is missing the cool box, which was a cool Bag which i removed from the bag and made a top for.

One very important point, is the catches in the first place i didn't have catches i only had spring rollers on the inside, but when i drove the camper the draw and the door sometimes would open so i added the catches.

This is the other unit i made which sits behind the drivers seat, its basically a single seat unit with storage underneath the seat and in a tall cupboard behind.

Stored behind the seat you can see the table top which clips on the side.

In this picture you can see i have used a veg rack inside the tall cupboard, it works very well was very cheap and can be lifted out if required. i had to pull the wheel off because it rolled around when i drove the camper and the the door would open!

Here is the view taken from in-between the front seats, i have just completed a trip to Wales and the interior really worked well the bed was comfortable and the cooker worked very well!

Seats! I am intending to use my camper so I decided to replace the original vinyl seats with modern seats, I went to my local modern car scrap yard and had a good look around and found these seats from a Citron Zantia. They are really comfortable and fitted well, if you are looking to replace your seats try to get ones that have flat bottoms and mount through the bottom. When i fitted the seats I made up reinforcement patches and welded them into place.

The bed.

The bed pulls out from the unit on top of the engine bump, it pulls out in two section and then you screw on two legs at the front edge. you the use the two bit of foam from the long seat and one more piece of foam which normally sits out of the way at the back, but can also be used to make the rear seat higher. The base of the seat is made from 6 inch thick foam to allow for the step in the two sections of the bed, all the other bits are 5 inches thick.
